This volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) organization focuses on feeding, clothing, and sharing love with individuals facing challenging times. Their mission is to combat food insecurity by serving local families, veterans, the elderly, and others in need, treating everyone with respect and compassion. Kiwanis Club of Miramar/Pembroke Pines: Building a Better Community
Chartered in 1991, the Kiwanis Club of Miramar/Pembroke Pines is part of a global organization dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. Comprising local neighbors, friends, and businesses, the club focuses on creating a sense of community in the neighborhoods where people live and work. They sponsor Key Clubs in four high schools—Everglades, Flanagan, Miramar, and Pembroke Pines Charter—fostering leadership and service among students. The club’s main goal is to increase personal involvement and promote cultural, educational, and social activities, thereby creating a better community and a better place to live.
