A Pembroke Pines woman has been arrested in connection with the theft of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits from approximately 200 individuals, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO).
Authorities allege that 43-year-old Tamica Brown unlawfully obtained SNAP card information and used it to purchase items, which she then resold for profit. The investigation began in July 2025 when deputies responded to reports of unauthorized transactions at a local Walmart. Victims discovered their benefits were depleted when attempting to make legitimate purchases.
Brown faces charges including criminal use of personal identification information involving over 30 victims and trafficking in counterfeit credit cards involving 50 or more cards. She was arrested on April 7 and is currently held at the Broward County Jail.
